e-wallpaper- 01

So, basically, I opened a new file, A4 size, and called it 'Wallpaper CG'

Tilted it 90 degrees. Either way its fine ^^

Okay, we've got the desirable file.

==========================================

Onto the images!

So, open a new file, or just click Ctrl + O and select your picture of choice. I'm doing a lantern festival, so, here is a picture of a lantern.

Make a copy of the picture by dragging the background layer to the new layer button next to the dustbin

Then I pick the quick layer button and started to cover my desire image

Done the covering, I change back the layer onto standard mode back. It'll select the whole thing.

Then, invert the selection onto the background.

Then, click Edit-> Clear to clear off the background.

Then, uncheck the locked background layer. After cleaning off the access things using the Eraser tool, it will look like this.

... to be continued ....

Photoshop 101.01: Workspace

Hi and welcome to my first ever, Photoshop 101. Do tell me if I did something wrong, like my spelling or grammar. This is my first time, so, I'm trying my best. ^^

First thing, open your Photoshop. I'm using the CS5 version btw. :3

Then, when it is opened, it will look something like this. This is what we call a 'Workspace' :3

Nice, right? xD

Now, what are those icons that looks like brush, scissors and all that? :/

That, my friend, are the tools and that is very useful :D

Below is the names of the icons.

And the shortcuts is in the brackets.

Wait... You're showing the left only. What about the right one?

Now, if you drag the edge of the other tool bar following the red arrow, it will look something like this.

Yes, and you can change the position of the tools based on your own liking.

Very useful, don't you think so?

e-Wallpaper

Well, after discovering all of the awesome festivals around the world, I found out one very interesting festival. Its originated in China, but in Malaysia, we celebrate it as well.

I remember when I was a kid, I used to buy lanterns at the nearest convenience store and light it up during the night and make a wish from that. Ooohh, those sweet memories... That time, lanterns were the hottest thing to buy. A must have for all the cool kids in school. as a kid, I fell for it.

Okay, thanks for reading my short post guys.
